Nicole Costello, Showroom Manager
Before beginning her work in the design trade community over six years ago, Nicole worked extensively in the high-end retail world and as a personal shopper for high-profile clients. She then begain working with designers and architects in the luxury home goods sector at WaterWorks. After developing an impressive client list through the building of long-term relationships, she brought her experience to Tufenkian. She is proud to say that she continues to work with many of her original clients today.
Thomas Tveter, Contract Sales
Thomas is a true "hands-on" rug guy with over 22 years of experience in the industry. He started at Gundolt Carpet, where he learned to fabricate and hand sew carpet. As an expert in his field, he has been a speaker on the fabrication and installation of woven carpet at national conventions. In 1985, he started Tveter Carpet, a company that imported Nepalese rugs. Before joining Tufenkian, he also worked as a Sr. Account Executive with Milliken Carpet.
Natalio Luetto, Residential Sales Representative
Natatlio comes to Tufenkian having been with Richard Afkari Rugs on Stone, Inc. as well as ABC Carpet & Home. Natalio brings with him an extensive background in high-end carpets, having owned his own retail business specializing in kilims, dhurries and Tibetan carpets in Argentina. Not only does Natalio have over 15 years experience in the carpet industry, but he also brings a great sense of passion and dedication that will make him an exceptional addition to the Tufenkian team.
Tobi Janoff, Operations Manager
Tobi returns to Tufenkian as Operations Manager of the New York Showroom. Prior to joining Tufenkian, Tobi gained a great deal of valuable experience in Customer Relations, having managed teams at companies such as Macy's, Bergdorf Goodman and McClanahan's Publication. Tobi's extensive knowledge in Inventory Control and Company Operations will be a great addition to the success of the New York Showroom.
Lisa Elliott, Director of Contract Sales
Lisa joins Tufenkian with over 15 years of experience in the luxury sales industry. She began her sales career working in showrooms sales with DesignTex, Inc, and worked her way up to Outside Contract Sales Representative with Dakota Jackson, Inc, and most recently, Enterprise Lighting Sales. Lisa brings with her an extensive background working with the Architecture and Design community, serving residential, contract and hospitality clients, maintaining territories all over the country.
Mingyur Tsering, Master Weaver
Mingyur is originally from Tibet, where he learned the art of weaving carpets from his parents. Mingyur left his homeland in 2001. After arriving in America, he joined Tufenkian Carpets as our in-house master weaver. With over 20 years of experience as a weaver, he lends his knowledge and understanding to all aspects of running our New York showroom. He has become an invaluable asset to our staff and clients.
Tashi Dawa, Master Weaver
Tashi is originally from Tibet, where he learned the artistry of weaving carpet from his parents as a child. In Nepal, he owned his own carpet factory. When Tashi decided to come to America in 2001, he joined Tufenkian Carpets as our in-house Master Weaver. He works in the New York Showroom assisting at all levels of the business. Along with Mingyur, he is considered to be the backbone of the New York Showroom. With over 20 years of weaving experience, his knowledge and care for what he does is invaluable.
