Ania began her career with David McMahon, Architect for five years in New York City. With his knowledge, she grasped a great deal of what she knows today. She also worked with K-Z Design in Fukuoka, Japan and freelance designed with Scott Salvator Inc and Scott Jordan Furniture in New York City.

One of Ania's greatest influences is Mark Rothko. Her travels to classic Italy, Rome and Old Japan also play an important role in her design influences.

Favorite Design Achievements: A two-bedroom residence in the lower Manhattan, which was a result of her client's complete trust in her talent and competence.

Recent Tufenkian Installments: Three rugs for a residence in the Financial District in New York City, four rugs for an Arts & Crafts period house in Pennsylvania.
